Against the grain

I’ve recently been playing with some of the Great Flickr Tools, in particular the tiling tool on FD’s Flickr Toys page and the BreadKrumbs.

The FD Toys are pretty straight forward and are fun to use (although it’d be nice to have thumbnails of the chose photos appear as you entered them into the photo choices lines) and have the appearance of being quite useful. Selecting the large-sized versions of photos allows for a moderately good printout of a tiled piece at the 5×7 size or larger, depending on picture quality. Might be useful for Christmas cards or somesuch.

Still investigating the Breadkrumbs thoroughly before publicly using them, as automatic stuff like that can have its pitfalls, especially automatic stuff that trails you to sites that you might have inadvertently visited. Verdict on breadkrumbs to be posted after I finish loafing…
