We had a little interview with a local television news station at the gallery today. Katherine coloured away happily throughout and was mostly quiet, except when spoken to……

Toni-Marie Wiseman (interviewer): So, do you want to be an artist when you grow up?

Katherine: No. I want to be a man named John.

Me: (muttering) Well, I suppose there’s surgery for that.

Thank heavens the cameras weren’t rolling then! Needless to say, there was quite a bit of hilarity.

Incidentally, there will be a short feature on (local) NTV News tomorrow evening; an in-the-studio segment of Laurie and I talking about our show. Apparently they may also do another of me in my actual studio in January. I’m under orders not to clean it….. yikes.
