Some kids need video games or elaborate toys to keep them happy. Not so with our child. Katherine is one of those kids who takes joy in the simple things. For instance, she was over the moon when I came back from the store on Monday with two new pairs of mittens and a pair of gloves for her.

She wore the gloves to bed. They were still on her hands in the morning when she got up. She’s wearing them now. We may have to surgically extract her from them in a week or so.
