Walk in the White Hills
Yesterday the sun came out on a lovely snowy day; the White Hills were finally white and, with a dusting of snow and a glistening of silver thaw, more than a little magical.John, Katherine, Rowan and I took a short wander along the road, met a dozen other dogs and enjoyed the day’s dying light….
Fiddling around with colour
I’ve been playing with colour schemes for yarns and fibres and am trying to avoid replicating other folks’ ideas. While it ought to be easily done (figure out idea, check and see if anyone else is doing something uncannily similar, nix or continue based on results), it’s harder than it looks. A splash of colour
I’ve been showing you dribs and drabs of what I’ve been working on, but now I’m actually starting to put together some successful final results and the colours are just plain fun. So here’s a little Saturday night colour for you! The results of some of this week’s work:
