Yesterday John took another stab at running the Cape to Cabot route, successfully improving his time and giving himself a benchmark for future training. While he ran, I played support crew, driving ahead a few kilometres at a time and being ready with sports drink and a car (in case of injury).
To while away the hours, I toted the camera along with me and decided to play with depth of focus and explore textures and contrasts as themes. It was a great bit of fun and I managed a few decent shots, some of which I’m posting here.
I think my favourite is this last shot. I enjoy the multiplicity of textures within the stone wall and the tree layered in the forground provides an organic counterpoint and a natural frame.
A good morning of shooting and a respectable run for John, all in one go.
