Summer is here, as evidenced by the friend I found below.
It's my finger, as Katherine won't let any sort of bug on her. We're working on this fear. Part of the treatment is me letting creepy-crawlies amble anbout my person. I have to admit, I'm not much enjoying it. The butterflies and spiders are fine, but the centipede creeped me out. I'm also staunching my knee-jerk (or rather, whole-body-convulsion) reaction to stinging insects in my vicinity. not doing too badly there an I tend to get better as the summer progresses.
Side note conversation:
K: Look, that's a bee
Me: Right you are. And what do bees make?
K: What?
Me: Do bees make honey?
K: Noooooo.
Me: Yes they do. Bees make honey.
K: No silly Mommy. Bees make NOISE!
I lost much of a day yesterday. I did get some work done, but not nearly what I should have done.
Yesterday was the first day this year that I can really say felt like summer. Katherine and I spent a large portion of the day tidying the garden and weeding. Katherine watered everyting, including me. Apparently I'm funny when watered.
Last night, though, I got the next-to-last bits of the book finished. Today is simply a matter of finishing edges and assembling everything. Luckily, it's raining!
i love ladybugs 🙂
> Bees make NOISE!
LOL!
And do we know someone else in this conversation who makes noise, hm? Without making honey?
>not nearly what I should have done.
No, no, no. That’s exactly what you should have done. Today, now, this is an inside-work day.
I wouldn’t let any bugs crawl on me for pretty much my whole life, and now I catch and count butterflies for a living, and I like it. So, there may be hope.
I still loathe spiders, though.
