I always do a little dance when one of my orchids blooms. I have quite a few orchids of different sorts and they have all passed the strict qualifications necessary to live in my house; they must be able to tolerate a reasonable amount of neglect and they must periodically show off for me.
This is “Eternal Wind”, an Oncidium orchid hybrid. These sorts are sometimes referred to as “spider orchids” and you can rather see why.

It’s not fully opened yet and will change colour slightly as it does, but it was a delight to see the tendrils unfurling in the sunshine today.
Impressive lighting on the first shot!
Plain, old, Canadian sunshine. Not often found around here at this time of year!
Beautiful!
