We had an action-packed Labour Day weekend jammed full of discovery, but I thought I’d start you off with one picture taken near where we camped.
We stayed in New Bonaventure, specifically in George’s Cove, just down the hill (to the right) of the church in this photo. A friend gave us the go-ahead to camp in her family’s land and we had a delightful spot near the beach, with a tea room close at hand, picnic tables near the parking lot for the church and outhouses (an unexpected boon) a five-minute walk down the road near the Random Passage film set site. (More on that one later!)
Many thanks to Kelly Mollins for introducing us to this charming little spot and letting us sleep for a few nights where her ancestors laid their heads. We had a marvelous time.
Wonderful photo, MJ
